n 1986 Mclaren Engineering acquired Taits Pharmacy. The company has traded under that name for over twenty years. Over the years the company has grown from strength to strength, and has received many top performance awards from various suppliers.

In 2003, Taits Pharmacy moved to its new location with over 6000sq feet of pharmacy space making it one of the largest pharmacy in Jamaica.

New Hours 8:30am to 8:00pm to the public. Other services offered are:

1. Internet Cafe:  20 seat internet cafe where you can surf the net in a comfortable environment (computer and accessories available)

2. Food Court with Taits one of a kind sub sandwich.

3. Digital Lab where your imagies come to life, custom framing, crystal imaging, art gallery, wide format printing , canvas printing, posters and banners.

4. Electronics Department offers: flash drive/jump drive, the cheapest in Jamaica, secure digital cards, digital cameras, printers, copiers, and a wide variety of MP3, MP4 players, and a wide range of electronic items

5. Toys: the largest selection of toys for boys and girls at very competitive prices.

6. Jewelry collection includes, gold, silver, stainless steel, watches , bracelet, perfumes.

7. Baby world department includes a wide variety of clothes, shoes, bicycles, strollers, car seat and other infant items

8. Prescription/Dispensery is managed and run by two pharmacist offering friendly courteous services 11 1/2  hours a day six Days a week, senior citizens discount, all major health insurance accepted, free blood pressure check.

The store is managed by Michael and Gweneth McLaren. The staff complement is approximately twenty (20) persons including one pharmacist and two part time pharmacist. The present board of directors includes Peter and Wesley McLaren along with Michael and Gweneth. These directors also share responsibility for the other entities in the group: (Mack Chem Trading, Mack Chem Chemicals, Parts A Lot, Mack Rebuilders and Henrys Photo Studio.
